March is National Frozen Food Month and National Peanut Month, and is also the month when we celebrate the following weird national food holidays:
March 1st: Peanut Butter Lover’s Day
March 6th: National Frozen Food Day (a day AND a month??? Must be a powerful frozen food lobby behind this!)
March 7th: National Crown Roast of Pork Day
March 8th: National Popcorn Lover’s Day (celebrate the people, not the snack.)
March 14th: National Potato Chip Day
March 19th: National Poultry Day
March 23rd: National Chip and Dip Day (not to be confused with National Potato Chip Day!)
March 24th: National Chocolate Covered Raisin Day (Yippee!)
March 25th: National Pecan Day
March 25th: National Waffle Day
March 31: National Clam on the Half Shell Day
Didn’t see your favorite food on this list? We suggest you write your congressman a very stern letter. Or you could celebrate all of your favorite eats on March 26th, which has been designated as National “Make Up Your Own Holiday” Day.
We are NOT making this up.
